Luxurious and sustainable 8-person nature villa located on Nieuwlanderweg and on the edge of nature reserve Waalenburg, the heart of Texel. Three kilometres from Den Burg and seaside resort De Koog. The shape of these high-end villas is inspired by the typical Texel sheep pen and each has a wide view over Texel’s vast Waalenburg nature reserve through its transparent frontage. This is an absolutely top segment house with a unique and tasteful design.

Living room
One with Texel. Here you can breathe freely. The wonderfully spacious living room (over 66m2) brings the peace of the Texel landscape inside. Thanks to the enormous windows – fitted with sliding doors – the living room flows naturally into the large garden. Wide views of the open Texel countryside. The living room and terrace become one. The unique primal shape in the design guarantees the best atmosphere even in colder seasons. During winter evenings, the nature villa wraps around you like a warm blanket. In addition, the spacious living room has a sitting area with wood-burning stove, Smart TV and a music system. You can enjoy cooking together in the benevolent open-plan kitchen. There is a dining area with a large dining table for 8. The open kitchen with large cooking island is fully equipped with various appliances. On the first floor you will also find a separate toilet and a storage room.

Bedrooms and bathrooms
It’s a surprise for those who use the stairs to unsuspectingly enter the basement. The amazing space offers two large bedrooms with daylight windows. Each bedroom has a bathroom equipped with a spacious walk-in shower and a vanity unit. The basement also has a separate toilet and a separate room with sauna. Upstairs, you will find two bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms with spacious walk-in shower and a vanity unit. One of the bathrooms is slightly larger and therefore equipped with a bathtub. All bedrooms in the house have comfortable box-spring beds. The beds are made as standard and towels are provided. There is a separate toilet on the landing.

Garden
The living room is directly connected to the terrace through sliding doors. The terrace is equipped with garden furniture and faces east. This ensures that you can enjoy the most beautiful sunrises. The terrace is also equipped with windbreaks.

General
Zero energy homes. The basement houses the technical installations and in a separate room you can find the laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Children’s furniture is available. Free Wi-Fi and additional German channels. Charging points for an electric car and electric bicycles. Heating and cooling of the villa is achieved by a heat pump. Through underfloor heating and cooling, a pleasant temperature lower than the outside temperature can alsbo be achieved in summer.

Things to know about your stay at Natuurvilla’s Waalerburght

Parking

You park your car on the paved parking lot near your bungalow. 3 parking spaces are reserved per villa. Do not park in the garden or on the roadside.

Climate control

The house is heated exclusively by underfloor heating.

There is a thermostat knob in each room; this allows you to control the temperature.

Note that changes in temperature settings will only be noticeable after some time.

It is important for a good indoor climate that the temperature remains constant.

Rubbish:

At the entrance to the bungalow park there are a number of waste containers in which you can dispose of your waste separately. Please tear boxes into pieces.

To prevent disruptions in the sewer system, we request that you moisten it to throw wipes, bandages, diapers, food scraps, etc. in the waste container and do not flush down the toilet.

Parsols and garden furniture

The villa has parasol(s) for the terrace. We would like to ask you to fold up the parasol(s) and put them back in the storage room in the case of strong wind and departure to avoid damage.

In case of strong wind, we kindly ask you to put away the garden furniture safely.

You are not allowed to enter the gardens outside the lawns.

Beware: There is a very wide ditch around the park.

Dogs:

Dogs are allowed in some villas. Dogs must be kept on a leash in the villa park. Please respect this! You can walk your dog outside the park. In the unlikely event of excrement in the villa park, we request you to clean up and dispose of it in the container at the villa park.

BBQ

You can use the BBQ provided.

You should, after use, clean the grill and remove the ashes.

Lighting

You can use charcoal and/or briquettes for the BBQ.

Sauna

The right-hand button indicates heat.

The left button with numbers indicates the switch-on time.

With the white line, the heater starts immediately and switches off after 1, 2 or 3 hours. You can use the other digits if you want to use the sauna in a number of hours, for example. If you set it to 4, it will only start in 4 hours.

Kitchen equipment

Manuals for the various kitchen appliances are located in info folder.

Upon departure

Departure day:

On departure day (no later than 10am), please leave the key back in the key safe. If you have any questions about this, please call our reception:

What to do before departure?

  • Empty the fridge.
  • Please set the thermostat of the central heating to 15 degrees.
  • Do the dishes and/or empty the dishwasher.
  • Put any rented linen and/or towels in one of the pillowcases and leave it by the front door. Leave moles and pillowcases on the mattresses and pillows.
  • This also applies if you had beds made on arrival.
  • Clean the fireplace (if present) with a dustpan and brush,
    not with a hoover.
  • Empty the water tank of the tumble dryer and remove dust from the filter.
  • Dispose of household waste in the containers provided.
