Texel beer has also made a name for itself: several types of Texel beer have won national awards and many restaurants and café on ‘the other side’ serve Texel beer. Texelse Bierbrouwerij
The Texelse Bierbrouwerij is the largest and best-known brewery on the island. From this brewery comes, among others, the famous Skuumkoppe. During the Texel Experience, you will learn more about the history of the company and how the beer is made. At the end, you get a tasting board with various Texel beers and a Texel beer glass to take home.
Tesselaar Family Brewery Diks
The Tesselaar Family Brewery was founded in 2017. It is a true family business: Maurice and Helma are at the helm together with their daughter and sons. They brew new flavours and styles of beer that the family has not brewed for Texel before. During a 45-minute tour, you will be taken into the world of brewing and life in the brewery. You will get a tasting of 3 different beers in tasting glasses.
TX Brewery
This small-scale craft beer brewery is located in the village of Oosterend. Brewery TX is a collaboration between Stokerij Texel and Paal 17. Brewmaster Nico Derks was brewer of several breweries in the past. Beers include TX Donkerblond, TX Hopblond and TX Goudwit. The beer is available in cans at supermarkets and catering outlets all over Texel. You can also buy the beer at the brewery; it is possible to take a peek around the corner at the brew kettles.
